Dr. Jessica Feinleib

Jessica Feinleib, M.D., Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Yale School of Medicine and Staff Anesthesiologist VACTHS

Dr. Feinleib is a member of the National Veteran’s Administration Anesthesiology Field Advisory Committee and is the lead subject matter expert for the VHA Difficult Airway Algorithm and Rescue Circothyrotomy (DAARC) program.DAARC is an award winning immersive serious game based educational system that integrates cognitive behavior to team and biomechanical skills that has been approved for ABA MOCA credit.

 As an active member of the Society for Airway Management she is a member of their MedicAlert Task Force and Special Committee. She has written several text book chapters on airway management, including chapters in Benumof and Hagberg's Airway Management, KJ Lee’s Otolaryngology and Rosenblatt and Popescu’s Master Techniques in Upper and Lower Airway Management. Inaddition she has written on Difficult Airway Communications, Database Registries, and Reporting Systems Registries as well as made the case for continuing interdisciplinary Airway Education. 

Dr. Feinleib is the national course director for the VHA’s Out of Operating Room Airway Management course. She is also the medical director for the VACTHS Simulation Program and is a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE). She has been providing novel airway instruction through simulation nationally in the VA and the private sector as well as internationally.
