Dr. William Rosenblatt

William Rosenblatt, MD is Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery (Otolaryngology) at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Rosenblatt is a founding member and past president of the Society for Airway Management, and the 2010 winner of the SAM Distinguished Service Award. He is the author of several textbook chapters regarding airway management, including chapters in Clinical Anesthesia, edited by Barash, Cullen and Stoelting, and in Benumof’s Airway Management, edited by Hagberg. He has contributed to more than a dozen other monographs in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. He has written more than 30 original articles and has given over 200 live presentations. His refresher course, entitled Awake Intubation Made Easy!, is a perennial favorite at the ASA.

Dr. Rosenblatt developed the AOD program in 1997 at the request of a group of anesthesiology and emergency medicine practitioners who wanted a complete and concise course that their entire staff could attend together.
